Bryan has been with the Idaho Small Business Development Center since 1996 and South Central Regional Director since 2006. Bryan’s educational credentials include a B.A. in Education from Boise State University and an M.E. from the University of Idaho.

Prior to joining the Small Business Development Center, Bryan worked in public education, and then worked his way up as a sales representative to become the general manager of a software development firm for Hewlett Packard Company. His business experience includes activities as a marketing director, business owner, member of the Board of Directors, Secretary/Treasurer of an Idaho Corporation, LLC formation.

Dennis comes with a background in computers, including programming, system designs, installation, and software design and installation. He has owned his own computer business, and has had experience being a project manager.

He has also been a school administrator and has coached several different sports at different levels.

His education includes a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Valparaiso University and an M.B.A. from Northwest Nazarene University.

Dennis Burgett has been in Twin Falls Idaho for 20 years.

Jerry has rejoined the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the College of Southern Idaho (CSI), where he previously served as a business consultant for four years. With a strong background in real estate development, Jerry has extensive experience in the creation and management of hotels and casinos across the United States and Southeast Asia. His expertise extends to advising businesses on streamlining their financial operations, including the organization of financial data to efficiently manage receivables, payables, payroll, and prepare related financial statements for tax compliance.

He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Idaho since 1985, having spent eight years working with public accounting firms in the state.

Brent is a native Idahoan and studied at Idaho State University where he earned degrees in both Corporate Finance and Management & Organization. He spent his entire 40 year career in banking and finance and attended the RMA Credit Analysis School at Leesburg, Virginia.

Brent has been a guest instructor at the College of Southern Idaho and the American Institute of Banking. Prior to semi-retiring at the end of 2017, Brent worked for several regional and community banks where he specialized in commercial lending and he became the Regional Commercial Loan Manager for a large, regional banking organization. Brent is a two time recipient of the Idaho SBA Lender of The Year Award.

Trey Mohammed started with the Idaho Small Business Development Center in April of 2018. He has a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management. Also, Trey is an alumni of the College of Southern Idaho while playing Baseball for CSI.

Mr. Mohammed brings nine years of retail, coaching, and residential investing experience to the Idaho Small Business Development Center. Additionally, he has led teams from 2 to 25 members. Clients and the Center find great benefit in Mr. Mohammed’s focus in Digital Marketing.

Eric Amador

Administrative Assistant/Training Coordinator

Eric joins us after seven years of working for a number of non-profits in Idaho, connecting people to various resources and programs promoting mental and physical health. During that time, they developed excellent communication and administrative skills, allowing them to more effectively serve the people in their community.

Eric received their BA in Creative Writing at Boise State University in 2020. They look forward to using their education and work experience to help the SBDC at CSI continue to support small businesses in South Central Idaho.

Marisa recently joined the SBDC team as part of the office administration staff, bringing a strong passion for supporting small businesses on their startup journeys. She takes pride in contributing to the growth of the South Central Idaho region and is excited to be part of a thriving community with so much potential.
Marisa is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship at the College of Southern Idaho, where she is also a cheerleader and team captain. She skillfully balances her time between academics, work at the SBDC, cheerleading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Eager to learn and grow, Marisa is looking forward to gaining real-world experience and insights during her time with the SBDC. Her goal is to one day launch and run her own successful small businesses—and she’s soaking up every opportunity to prepare for that dream.

Carissa Parkhurst

Work Scholar

Carissa started as an office assistant work scholar with the SBDC in November of 2024. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Art Education from Boise State University. Previously she worked as a public-school art teacher in Nevada for over a decade before deciding to make a career pivot. She has since enrolled as a student at the College of Southern Idaho seeking an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Management/Entrepreneurship.

She is looking forward to learning everything she can about starting, operating, marketing, and being a successful small business owner and helping others to do the same.

Lainey Parrish Headshot

Lainey Parrish

Work Study Student

Lainey is a second-year business administration major at the College of Southern Idaho. She is a work scholar this semester and is looking forward to using her administrative and social media skills in the office. She previously assisted the Administrative Assistant at Preston High School in daily office activities, which helped strengthen her organizational and multitasking skills. As a lifelong dancer and current CSI dance team captain, she has developed strong leadership, teamwork, and time management skills as well. She is eager to expand on these skills and develop even more while working here at SBDC.
