Landscape design firm grows with SBDC assistance

Landscape Architect Jon Breckon started his firm in 2007. The business started small with Jon responsible for all design and his wife, Kristie, acting as office manager and bookkeeper. Over the past 9 years, the business has grown to 7 landscape architects and 5 associates managing administrative responsibilities.
Breckon Land Design has thrived with the continuing help of the Idaho SBDC. Over the years, Jon and Kristi sought SBDC’s assistance with financial performance management; billing methods; job costing and bidding, growth and diversification and strategic planning. The SBDC also linked the company to Boise State University’s student team to develop an employee handbook.
