About the Idaho SBDC State Star Award
In 2025, America’s SBDC Centers continue their mission to support small businesses through an ever-changing landscape. The State Star is a peer-nominated award that honors a team member who exemplifies the Idaho SDBC Core Values: Service, Respect, Discovery, and Perseverance. These values are the foundation of our network, driving a culture of collaboration, excellence, and impact. Our State Star represents the best of who we are at the Idaho SBDC, being a great example of leadership and dedication that strengthens not only our network, but small business development across Idaho.
Introducing Our 2025 State Star Award Winner
In 2025, the Idaho SBDC network is honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of our team members who embody our core values of Service, Respect, Discovery, and Perseverance. These individuals bring a unique passion and expertise to the vital work of supporting small businesses across Idaho.
Among a strong pool of nominees, we are proud to recognize Bryan Magleby, Region 6 Business Consultant, as our 2025 State Star Award recipient. Bryan is a “driver” who consistently goes way beyond the call of duty to support his clients and colleagues. Whether he is spearheading innovative Mastermind groups , staying at the forefront of the AI revolution, or selflessly helping a teammate in a time of personal need, Bryan’s commitment to the Idaho SBDC mission is absolute. His relentless drive, genuine integrity, and innovative spirit make him an invaluable pillar of our network.

Marie Baker – Region 3
“Marie is the first person to volunteer to assist, whether it’s a new work initiative, a colleague who needs help, or a community organization in need; she is the first in line and the last to leave when the job is done. “Glenna has dedicated nearly three decades of service to not only developing the network’s business wizard but also providing a roadmap for clients who wish to start a business in Idaho. She is always ready to serve, whether she is fielding chatbot questions or relaying the history of the site to new employees. I am inspired by her dedication and commitment to serving small businesses. Her depth of knowledge and patient instruction often go unnoticed. It is her self-less work behind the scenes that has allowed our network to grow and thrive.”
