2023 Statewide and Regional Impact Reports

In 2023, the Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC) continued to make a significant impact on Idaho’s economy and small business community. With 45 dedicated employees, the SBDC supported over $750M in combined client business sales, facilitated the creation of 122 new businesses, and contributed to 2,009 jobs created, retained, or supported across the state. The center also helped clients raise $63M in capital, providing critical financial support to fuel business growth and innovation.

The total economic output from Idaho SBDC’s work in 2023 amounted to $335M, driven by no-cost consulting and training programs designed to empower small businesses at all stages. Our consultants worked one-on-one with 2,410 clients and delivered over 19,000 hours of counseling to help businesses develop strategies for growth, navigate challenges, and seize new opportunities.

This data is compiled through verified client feedback, where businesses attribute their success directly to the Idaho SBDC’s consulting and guidance. It is shared with key stakeholders, including the SBA, State of Idaho, and University Hosts, to showcase the tangible value and return on investment the SBDC provides to the state’s economy.
