WMDTech is a veteran-run business that provides bomb squad training in Explosive Ordinance Disposal to government and military first responders. Instructors are certified bomb technicians with military backgrounds in Weapons of Mass Desctruction (WMD), Special Operations, and Demolitions.

New projects for WMDTech include assisting LEIDOS in building an X-Ray Mosaic System for Future Radiographic Systems (FRS), producing a Foam Containment Tent System for various FBI field offices, and supplying XTK Grid Aim Systems to EOD units within all 4 branches of the military.

They (TECenter and SBDC) have helped with linking us to the right people at the right time to ensure we got the help that we needed.

In 2014, the company received orders of over $7 million for products and training. This has allowed WMDTech to grow their staff to 9 full time employees, 1 part time, and
12 contractors.

The first 6 months of 2015, WMDTech has already started developing additional tools for bomb squads to assist them in responding to IEDs. Also, they are working on qualifying as a HUB Zone certified business that would assist them in being placed on the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.

The company has been headquartered at the TECenter, an Idaho Small Business Development Center business incubator. Ricky Bowman, President of WMDTech stated, “With the years of guidance from the TECenter and SBDC, WMDTech has outgrown our current space, and will be ‘graduating’ into a new permanent location.”
